| Natural Sky
Daylight is essential to our organism. It affects the production of hormones such as melatonin and serotonin and hence regulates our body rhythms or reduces symptoms of health issues like seasonal affective disorder. Also, natural light is not homogenous since there is a constant change of light an shadow in the sky. Nonetheless, a lot of people spend most of their time under artificial light, which does not have the properties of daylight.
The idea of the Natural Sky lighting system is to get away from the classical approach of homogenous illumination to a light with a soft and constant change in light quality and intensity. These changes of quality and intensity are steered by a control system within the lamp. This system does not only provide for artificial light with similar properties as natural light, it also has a positive effect on energy consumption. The lamp's appearance is supported by translucent side panels supplying additional lighting reflexes. Moreover, the lamp is covered by a sound-absorbing textile, which enhances the lights natural impression and provides a perfect noise reducing solution for public zones with few furnishing and a lot of transit.

Unique: Reshaping Zurich Airport’s
access points
The improved pathway system as well as the expansion of the commercial space has transformed the corridor-like zone between terminal 1, the shopping vicinity and the entrance area of the hotel into a spacious dwelling place (hallway).
For this new hallway we developed a new ceiling system simulating the look of a natural sky through innovative light variations, which creates a natural and open environment.
